Mary Carolyn (Miller) Rendleman

Mary Carolyn Rendleman, age 78 of Anna, died, Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born September 27, 1945 in Anna, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Brown) Miller. She married Larry Eugene Rendleman on March 26, 1965 in Jonesboro. Mary Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Larry Rendleman of Anna; three daughters, Tara (Nathan) Smith of New Berlin, Amy (Marc) Sheffer of Jonesboro and Lisa (Brad) Hoehner of Anna; six grandchildren, Logan and Calli Smith, Aaron and Brooke Sheffer, Lera and Jenna Hoehner; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary Carolyn was a member of the Jonesboro First Baptist Church for many years. She retired from the State of Illinois, working thirty-three years for the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) as a Rehabilitation Case Coordinator in Anna. She truly enjoyed helping people to get the services they needed. Her legacy was loving and spending time with her family. She was proud of her three daughters and was their biggest supporter. After retirement she and Larry loved traveling and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed teaching them to play games and attending all their sporting events. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Perry Williams officiating. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. until the service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Jonesboro First Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
