Mrs. Mary M. Dale, age 87 of Dongola, died at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Jonesboro Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born February 12, 1925 in Cobden, the daughter of Washington Lafayette and Edith Lence Hankla. She married Warren Harding Dale on April 11, 1941 in Marble Hill, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2008.Mary is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn (Ted) Perry of Murphysboro and Vicki Tripp of Dongola; two grandchildren, Matthew Tripp and Josh (Lisa) Tripp all of Lick Creek; one sister, Helen Sitter of Florence, AL; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren Harding Dale; one brother, Jack Hankla; and one sister, Margaret Sadler. Mary was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Anna Moose. She was an active volunteer at Choate Mental Health and Development Center, the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna and the Marion V.A. Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary M. Dale will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment will be in the Leyerle Cemetery near Dongola. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
