Mary Ruth Brimm

Mrs. Mary Ruth Brimm, age 73 of Cobden, died at 10:10 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2011 at Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born February 28, 1938 in Cobden, the daughter of Ray and Alverda Pearman Holderfield. She married Ford Wardell Brimm on October 25, 1973 in Jonesboro. Mary is survived by her husband, Ford of Cobden; 4 children, Terry (Sue) Johnson of Chesterfield, MO, David Johnson of Texas, Janynne (Joseph) Stahl of Glen Carbon, IL, and Bill Brimm of Cobden; 3 sisters, Della (Ed) Petty of Jonesboro, Earlene Highfield of Houston, TX, and Brenda (Rev. Bobby) Russell of Pana, IL; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Raymond, Bob, Gene, and Paul Holderfield; and 1 sister, Frieda Simmons.Mary attended the Limestone Baptist Church for many years, but most recently was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Cobden.Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ruth Brimm will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Limestone Baptist Church near Cobden with the Rev. Kenneth Mixen officiating. Interment will be in the Limestone Cemetery. Friends may call at the Limestone Baptist Church on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the funeral. Memorials may be made to the Limestone Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden or at the church.
