Martha Elizabeth Johnson

Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Johnson, age 85 of Anna died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in the Anna Rehab and Healthcare Center in Anna. She was born November 27, 1926 in Miller City, the daughter of Jessie and Birdie Parks Winters. Martha is survived by her four sons, Tony (Gail) Hammer of Jonesboro, Mike (Kay) Hammer of Lone Oak, KY, Ed (Michelle) Hammer of Buncombe, David (Paige) Hammer of Anna; one daughter, Darlene (Johnnie) Schneider of Dongola; seventeen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; one sister, Jesse Booker of Pennsylvania; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded by her parents; two husbands, Tony Hammer in 1968 and Bill Johnson in 1992; one grandchild and one great grandchild. Memorial services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Johnson will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 15285 Hwy 127 Murphysboro, Illinois 62966 with Harry Aldridge officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the Kingdom Hall.
