Marsha Gail (Hartline) Yates

Marsha Gail Yates, age 73 of Cobden, died on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at her home. She was born December 24, 1950 in Carbondale, the daughter of Gilbert L. and Bette (Ridgeway) Hartline. She married Jack Gordon Yates, Jr. on April 17, 1990 in Billings, Montana. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2021.

Marsha is survived by her cousins, Carl (Georgia) Hagler of Carterville, Carol Brady of Texas, Julia Wunderlich of Chester and Ruth Miller of Carbondale; brother in law, Charles (Gayle) Yates of Cobden nieces and nephews, Chuck Yates, Christina Lynn DeWitt, Roxanna Sullens, Rebecca Knop, Dean Hale; great nieces and nephews, Ryan (Madison) DeWitt, Noah (Valerie) DeWitt, MaKayla (Jacob) Watkins, Ethan (Kristina) Myers, Dalton (Kimberly) Myers, Dustin Knop, Dakota Knop, Nicole Hale and Shayne Hale; great-great niece and nephew Sawyer DeWitt and Beckett Watkins; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack Gordon Yates, Jr.

Marsha was a lifetime member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary Club. She owned and operated Yates Consulting Firm until her retirement.

Funeral services for Marsha Yates will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment will be in Kelly Cemetery in Cobden.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
