Mr. Mark R. Fahlberg, age 59 of Anna, passed away at 7:01 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born September 21, 1953 in Princeton, IL, the son of Donald and Patricia A. Holmberg Fahlberg. He married Sheree Rosenberg on October 11, 1975 and has lived the last 37 years in Anna. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Sheree Fahlberg of Anna; two sons, Zach (Amanda) Fahlberg of Jonesboro, AR, and Todd Fahlberg of Hot Springs, AR; mother, Pat Fahlberg of Anna; one sister, Nora Fahlberg and husband K. Gendo of Atlanta, GA; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Fahlberg. Mark proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1972-1974. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University before becoming a physical education teacher at Century High School in Ullin. He taught school for thirty one years before retiring in 2008. Mark was the Assistant Treasurer for The Friends of Stinson Library Board and also a lifetime member of Fitness Forum Gym in Anna. He enjoyed the outdoors, walking, playing tennis, vacationing, spending time with his friends and family and all of his past students. Mark was a family man and loved his family with all his heart. According to his wishes, Mark will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Blue Boar Restaurant in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to The Friends of Stinson Memorial Library. Envelopes will be available at The Blue Boar Restaurant the day of the service or at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
