Mrs. Marjorie B. Kirkpatrick, age 89 of Anna, died at 2:52 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born November 21, 1925 in Cobden, the daughter of Lee and Henrietta (Rudert) Bartsch. She married Bill Kirkpatrick on February 9, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1991. Marjorie is survived by her nieces and nephew, Lisa (James) Whitehead of Jonesboro, Bob (Betty) Caraker of Anna, Donna Sadler of Jonesboro, and Glenda (Larry) Koeller of Winslow; many other nieces and nephews; great nephews and nieces, Brian James Whitehead, Alan Michael Whitehead, Kim Caraker (John Brimm) Lori (Steve) Doty, Brian D. Caraker, Collin Crews (Lori Williams), Michelle (Jeff) Sadler, Mike (Olivia) Koeller, and Chris (Brooke) Koeller; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Kirkpatrick; and one sister, Rosalie Minton. Marjorie was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. She was active in the Sunshine Inn, a member of the Eastern Star and served on the resident board of the Highrise . She worked for Union County Motors and Associated Lumber in Jonesboro and was a hairdresser for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie B. Kirkpatrick will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Dennis Scoville officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church or the Union County Senior Citizen Council, Anna, IL. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
