Marion Linton-Parmly, 76 of O'Fallon, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital is O'Fallon. She was born on August 12, 1945 in Anna, the daughter of Jesse and Grace (Walker) Johns. She is survived by her children, Jesse (Jackie) Jennings, Angela Jennings, Charlotte (Yazeed) Abuhuzaimah and Theresa (Jason) Hunt; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jesse (Kim) Johns, Linda (Gary) Faire, Lonnie (Linda) Johns, Stella (Rodney) Plott, Pam Johns, Patsy Evans and Sheila (Ed) Plott; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Mark Johns. Marion loved her church and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Calvary Church in O'Fallon. She had many hobbies and interests. She loved to paint, knit, crochet, read, fish and go shopping. She loved purses. Funeral services for Marion Linton-Parmly will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Danny Jones and Pastor Chad Townsley officiating. Interment will follow at Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 12:00 noon until the time of service Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the funeral home. To honor Marion's wishes, those attending are asked to wear bright, cheerful colors as we gather to celebrate her life. Memorials can be made to Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Per state of Illinois mandate, those attending will be required to wear a face covering while indoors.
