Marilyn Dorothy Toler

Marilyn Dorothy Toler, age 93 of Anna, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Voyage in Marion. She was born May 30, 1931 in Chana, the daughter of Frank M. and Alice (Canfield) Langholf. She married Cecil O. Toler on September 25, 1948 in Ogle County. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2017 after 68 years of marriage.

Marilyn was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was skilled at crafts and threadwork and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was an excellent cook and baked the best pies.

She is survived by her sister, Karen Groenhagen; brother, Glenn (Joyce) Langholf; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Marie, Jean, and Evelyn, and two brothers, Bruce and Frances.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024 at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek with Rev. Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service. Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m. until the service hour of 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
