Marilyn K. Ayers

Marilyn K. Ayers, age 59 of Wolf Lake, died at 3:19 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born on February 12, 1958 in Kankakee, IL the daughter of Darris and Birdie (Turner) Ayers. Marilyn loved animals especially her beloved pets, Dixie & Bandit. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, she was truly a kid at heart. She loved to fish, when you went fishing with her you had to catch and release. Time spent at Kinkaid Lake with her family and friends was pure enjoyment. Marilyn is survived by her loving fiancé, Norman R. Hickam of Wolf Lake; children, Chad Ayers of Olympia, WA and Stacey Ayers of Wolf Lake; one sister, Darla (Michael) Kirchner; cousins, Wayne, Sheldon, Mike and Jim Ayers and beloved uncle Donald; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Brenda and Carla. According to her wishes, Marilyn will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be at a later date.
