Margie B. Baker

Mrs. Margie B. Baker, age 90 of Anna, died at 9:24 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the Union County Nursing Home in Anna. She was born March 12, 1925 in Dongola the daughter of Claude and Leta (Pender) Fisher. She married Paul Smith on September 16, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, MO. He preceded her in death in 1971. Later Margie married Dick Baker on February 20, 1975 in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death in 2007. Margie is survived by her children, Phyllis Hawk of Anna, John (Carlene) Smith of Ruskin, FL, and Martha (Jack) Sensmeier of Anna; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two step-sons, Bobby (Pam) Baker of Makanda, and Randy Baker of Murphysboro; one step daughter, Donna (Gordon) Bauer of Sarasota, FL; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one sister, Maxine Toler; and one step-brother, Floyd Pender. Margie was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Margie B. Baker will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
