Margaret Ann Treece

Mrs. Margaret Ann Treece, age 83 of Carbondale, died at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County. She was born November 30, 1927 in Anna, the daughter of Hugh S. and Barbara Stegle Treece. She married Ray W. Treece in February of 1948 in Cobden. Margaret is survived by her husband Ray; 2 daughters, Lynn A. and her husband Benson D. Poirier of Makanda and Janet Lea and her husband Henry B. Nennstiel of Metropolis; and 1 sister, Louise and (Francis) Westbrooks of Anna; and her greatest joy, her grandchildren, Benson T. (Christina) Poirier of Anna and Erin T. Poirier of Makanda and her great-grandchildren, Gunnar, Margaret, and Benson Poirier; she is also survived by 2 nephews, Mike and Mark Westbrooks; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Steve Westbrooks.Margaret was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. Her family would like to give a special thanks to the kind and caring staff of the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County and the VNA Tip Hospice.Graveside services for Mrs. Margaret Ann Treece will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 28, 2011 in the Casper Cemetery north of Anna with Father Federico Higuera officiating. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery.
