Margaret Maxine Stone, age 87 of Anna, died at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the Union County Hospital. She was born August 2, 1930, in Union County, the daughter of Elmer K. and Cora Belle (Kelley) Whitley. She married Delbert Dean Stone, he preceded her in death. Margaret is survived by her son, Michael (Anita) Stone of Jonesboro; daughter, D. Susan Isom of Cypress, TX; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Brian) Lingle, Amber (Sean) Belcher, Dusti Stone (Trevor Williams), Brad Isom, Shane Isom, Casie (Jeremiah) Bass, Codie (Shawn) McKay and Nick (Jade) Isom; twelve great grandchildren; Joe Wilson who was like a son; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Madeline Phillips; brother, William "Bill" Whitley. Margaret was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, she loved traveling to many places and taking pictures. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. Funeral services for Margaret Maxine Stone will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Brian Lingle officiating. Interment will be in the St. Johns Cemetery in Dongola. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January21, 2018 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
