Margaret Ruth Peeler

Margaret Ruth Peeler, age 100 of Dongola, died Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born September 13, 1924 at home in Union County, the daughter of Johnny and Nellie (Knupp) Fisher. She married William Allen Peeler in 1945. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1993.

Margaret is survived by her two sons, Johnny Peeler and Mike (Janet) Peeler all of Dongola; four grandchildren, Tim (Beth) Peeler, Jason (Santhi) Peeler, Jeremy Peeler and Amanda; four great-grandchildren, Claire, Camden, Charlotte and Christian; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen Peeler; son, Jack Peeler; granddaughter, Jaime Mullins, and siblings, Don Fisher, Colleen Corzine and Bonnie Jo Ford.

Margaret was a member of the Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She retired from the Anna State Hospital where she worked for many years as a mental health technician. She enjoyed cooking for her family and quilting with the Willing Hands quilting club.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will be held privately at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Dongola. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
