Marcella Marie Buttry

Marcella Marie Buttry, age 77 of Sikeston, went home to her Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 19, 2021 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born January 31, 1944 in Cardwell, MO, the daughter of George and Pearl Treece. She married Tonie V. Smith, he preceded her in death on July 14, 1990. She later married Charles Buttry in 1996. Marcella is survived by her husband, Charles Buttry of Sikeston; children, Cathy Marie (Ron) Taylor of Dongola, Sheila (Grady) Sappington of Kevil, KY, Mike (Michelle) Smith of Morley, MO, David (Patricia) Smith of Scott City, MO, April (Jerry) Farris of Jonesboro; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; step-children, Marie Harwood, Robert (Debbie) Buttry, Loretta Buttry and Tim Buttry all of Sikeston, Kevin (Sharon) Smith of Greenville, IN; 7 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Rambeau of Anna, Peggy Owens of Florida; brother, Leonard Sorrels of Florida; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tonie V. Smith; brother, Eugene Sorrels and sister, Georgia Lee Chapman. Marcella loved going to church, praising God, singing songs, and being with her family. She enjoyed capturing family moments in photos. She loved helping others and was a prayer warrior for everyone she knew. Her loving soul made an impact that will last forever and she will forever be celebrated and cherished. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
