Lucy Clark

Lucy Clark, age 72 of Cobden, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at her home. She was born June 6, 1949 in Union County, the daughter of John Basil and Frances L. (Johnson) Newman. She married Mart Clark Sr. on March 15, 1968. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2016. Lucy is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Steve) Glidden of Metropolis; two sons, Mart "Mo" Clark Jr. and Richard Clark both of Cobden; seven grandchildren, Cody Clark, Logan Glidden, Bridget, Amber, and James Clark, Lacey Schmidt, Dylan Glidden; ten great-grandchildren, Peyton and Jadyn Clark, Klaytyn and Korbyn Myers, Edison and Andy Glidden, Grady and Milo Schmidt, Korbin Uptain, and Brantley Clark; sister, Francis Pollard of Jonesboro; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mart Clark Sr.; two brothers, John Newman Jr. and Harold Newman. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service at 12:00 noon on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Everyone attending is asked to please wear a face covering and social distance during the service.
