Lucille Theis

Mrs. Lucille Theis, age 95 of Dongola, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her home. She was born May 2, 1922 in Reynoldsville, the daughter of Ephraim F. and Mary Elizabeth (Rhymer) Groves. She married Herman Theis on February 3, 1940 in Frohna, MO. He preceded her in death in 1969. Lucille is survived by her children Arelene (Jim) Hallers of Huntsville, TX, Jane Kerfin (Henry Samvoie) of Port Richey, FL, Richard (Julia) Theis and Joann Sue Theis all of Dongola; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother and four sisters. Lucille was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dongola. She loved to vacation and enjoying spending most of her time in Florida. Private family services will be held for Lucille at a later date. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Jonesboro.
