Lowell E Cooley

Mr. Lowell E. Cooley, age 75 of Anna, died at 6:24 P.M. Friday August 27, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born January 19, 1935 in Simpson, IL, the son of Leonard and Marie Hines Cooley. He married Joann Tygett in Jonesboro, IL. Lowell is survived by his wife, Joann Cooley of Anna; 3 sisters, Marceline (Bill) Bohannon of East Alton, IL, Venita Brafford of Herrin, and Janelle (Lynn) Eudy of Jonesboro; 4 brothers, Leon Cooley of Anna, Earl Cooley of Dongola, Larry (Carol) Cooley of Tennyson, IN, and Richard (Brenda) Cooley of Dongola; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, JoEllen Cunningham; 1 sister, Loretta; and 1 brother, Delene.Lowell served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked for the Gazette-Democrat in Anna and he was the City Manager for both the Village of Dongola and Village of Cobden until he retired.Funeral services for Mr. Lowell E. Cooley will be held at 1:00 P. M. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Joe Aldridge. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S.
