Lou Etta Rion

Lou Etta Rion, age 87 of Buncombe, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her home. She was born on June 24, 1929 in Goreville, the daughter of Harold and Zella (Stokes) Billingsley. She married Gerald Rion on April 23, 1947 in Piggott, AR. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1973. Lou is survived by her grandchildren, Robbie Rion, Rachel Fufchi; two great grandchildren, Elijah Rion and Dillon Fufchi; one brother, Darwin Billingsley of Lick Creek; one niece, Cindy (Anthony) Nixon of Lick Creek; one nephew, David (Kim) Billingsley of Salisbury, NC; great nephews and niece, Austin Billingsley, Alex Billingsley and Caroline Billingsley; one great nephew, Andrew Nixon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Rion; one son, Larry Joe Rion. Lou Etta worked for over 23 years at Union County Hospital in dietary until her retirement. Funeral services for Lou Etta Rion will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Rev. Bobby Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. and until the hour of the service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
