Lorene Morgan

Mrs. Lorene Morgan, age 91 of Jonesboro, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in the Jonesboro Rehab and Health Care Center. She was born November 20, 1920 in Union County, the daughter of George W. and Delia F. Sadler Spurlock. She married Harry J. Morgan on February 8, 1942 in Jackson, MO. Lorene is survived by her daughter, Clara (Melvin) Harvell of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Tony Harvell, Karen Rhine, Stacey Chilman, Janice Osman, Gina Mayo and Marsha Morgan; eleven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; one son, Ray G. Morgan; one grandson, Scott R. Morgan; five brothers, Luther, Ervin, George, John, and Sam Spurlock; four sisters, Lena Nordmeyer, Ruth Rushing, Mary Spurlock and Bessie Davis. Lorene was retired from the Florsheim Shoe Company. She was a member of the Anna Moose Lodge # 1346 Auxiliary. Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Morgan will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. John Cripps officiating.Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. and until the service hour at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the activity fund for the Jonesboro Rehab and Health Care Center. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
