Eileen Williams, age 93 of Cartersville GA, formerly of Union County, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 26, 2018. Eileen was born on April 6, 1925 in Union County, Illinois to Elbert and Serena Miller. She was the oldest of three daughters. Lois Eileen is survived by her devoted brother-in-law, Lewis H. Hickom; three nieces, Dianna Shackelford, Gloria Raulerson, Serena Sanford and their families; three nephews, Steve Hickom, Douglas Hickom and Scott Hickom and their families; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; three God children, Matthew Hickom, Lauren Tippet and Tyler Tippet; special friends, Mark and Jill Tippet; numerous friends in Illinois and Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Williams; daughter Lois Elaine; and sisters, Murial Mae Brown and Delores Hickom. Eileen was a devoted wife to James Williams and mother to Lois Elaine and an adored aunt and a good friend to all she met. She was an artist, crafter, baker, candy maker and knitter, and devoted homemaker. She bestowed many Christmas goodies, canvases, afghans and beaded ornaments to family and friends. She is formally of Lewiston, IL, but has resided with family in Cartersville in recent years. She was a member of Lewiston United Methodist Church and has attended Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church since moving to Cartersville. She was a member of the Marco Sunday School Class and attended the Prime Timers group there as well. Graveside funeral services will immediately follow a gathering of family and friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Pastor Sandy Estes will be officiating the graveside funeral service.
