Lois Janiece Penrod

Lois Janiece Penrod, age 74 of Jonesboro went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 15, 1947 in Anna, the daughter of Howard Orvil and Crettie Aldean (Fuller) Ellis. She married Donald Richard Penrod on November 2, 1964 in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2018. Lois is survived by her children, Richard (Tammy) Penrod of Murphysboro, Monica (Brian) Bartimus of Harrisburg, Michael (Jackie) Penrod of Jonesboro, Leslie (Thomas) Bauman of Dongola, Amanda Sweet of Jonesboro; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Randy) Wheaton of Jonesboro, Karen (Jack) Hicks of Pomona; brother, David (Pam) Ellis of Pittsburg; numerous nephews and nieces; sisters in law, Ruth, Norma, and Pam Ellis; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, two great-grandchildren, Tommy and Steven Schemonia; infant sister, Leone Ellis; four brothers, Leon, Deon, Eldon and Delmond Ellis. Lois was a faithful and devoted member of the Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jonesboro. She was the center of her family and a mentor to many. She witnessed to countless followers the good word of Christ. Lois was an amazing cook and loved spending time with her family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jonesboro with Geoff Bond officiating. Interment will be in the Dutch Ridge Cemetery in Pomona. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
