Lois Dean (Edging) Sams

Lois Dean Sams, age 66, of Cairo died Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Integrity Health Care in Anna. She was born June 23, 1957 in Cairo the daughter of Martha Dean Estes. She married Gordon Patrick "Pat" Sams on November 19, 1999 in Wycliff, Kentucky.

Lois is survived by her husband, Gordon Patrick "Pat" Sams of Cairo; sister, Anna Garrison and her sister-in-law, Carol Britt of Madisonville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Dean and Charles Jett; siblings, Teddy Eugene Edging and Sabrena McAfee, and step-siblings, Karen Jett, Sharon Ellis and Randy Jett.

Lois spent many years working at the NU Diner in Cairo as a server. She loved spending time with her husband and their fur babies. She will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
