Lisa Kay Brashears, age 60, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born February 29, 1964 in Anna, the daughter of John Earl and Nellie Sue Charlene (Newman) Sadler. She married Harvey Mitchel Brashears. He preceded her in death March 7, 2012.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Nellie Sue Charlene Sadler; two daughters, Josie and Jeni Brashears; two sisters, Debbie Newton, all of Jonesboro, and Racheal Miller of Anna; brother, Claude Sadler of Anna; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Earl Sadler; husband, Harvey Mitchel Brashears; brother, John Earl Sadler, Jr., and infant sister, Dianna Lee Sadler.
Lisa enjoyed mushroom hunting and was incredibly knowledgeable about the types and varieties of mushrooms. She could tell you all about various mushrooms down to the type of log or soil it grew from. She would harvest and share them with her family and friends. Lisa was passionate about her nursing career. She worked at Integrity of Cobden for over 20 years. She loved her family and her dogs dearly.
Services will be held privately for the family.
