Linda M. Houston

Mrs. Linda M. Houston, age 68 of Dongola, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born September 6, 1948 in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Anderson) Odom. She married Charles Houston on August 24, 1983 in Troy, Mo. Linda is survived by her husband, Charles Houston of Dongola; one daughter, Melodie Houston Penrod of Carterville; one son, Richard (Janice) Micheal of Dongola; six grandchildren, Colten (Alyssa) Penrod, Michaela (Bobby) Sizemore, Ryan Tanner Latham, Katelynn Latham, Garrett Micheal and Megan Micheal; three great grandchildren, Ella Penrod, Drake Penrod, Kimberly Sizemore and one more on the way; one brother, Garry (Donna) Odom of Olney, Mo.; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Scott Houston; two grandchildren, Jordan Michael Houston and Dustin Levi Micheal; and one brother, Glenn Odom. Linda worked many years at the Marion V.A. Medical Center as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Private family services for Mrs. Linda M. Houston will held at a later date.
