Linda S. Clark

Linda S. Clark, age 72 of Anna, died Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was born September 6, 1947 in Cobden, the daughter of Ethel Louise Kerr. She married John E. Clark Sr. on January 14, 1967 in Makanda. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2012. Linda is survived by her son, John E. Jr. (Tammy) Clark of Cobden; daughter, Lisa (Shane) Murray of Anna; five grandchildren, Stephanie Gibson of Vienna, Sarah (Caleb) Burton of Tamms, Beth Murray of East Cape Girardeau, Jonathan (Chelsea) Murray of Anna, Kimberly (Lloyd) Fox of Anna; twelve great-grandchildren, Camie Jo Clark-Blake, Eyan and Trapper Burton, Mariah and Caleb Gibson, Madison, Maci and Maeleigh Parker, Jon and Jaxon Murray, Sophia and Lily Fox; three brothers, Bill (Pat) Peterman of Florida, Bob Peterman of Simpson, Eddie (Pam) Peterman of Cobden; two sisters, Alice Miller and Joyce Peterman both of Lebanon, IL; many very special nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Ethel Louise and William Peterman; and husband, John E. Clark Sr. Linda was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Cobden and attended the First Baptist Church in Anna for several years. She loved reading her bible and attending church. Linda enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family, and especially going to the shows when they were in Branson, MO. She and her husband John enjoyed going for long drives in the country. Linda adored spending time with all her family during cookouts and family gatherings. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
