Lillian Mae Smith Allen Robert

Lillian Mae (Smith) Allen Robert, 90 of Marissa, formerly of Anna, was born on February 14, 1932 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Willie and Nora (Getting) Smith. Lillie walked on peacefully at home with her family and friends around her at 6:12 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Lillie was married to Harry B. Allen in June, 1948. To that union, four children were born. She is survived by those children, Deanna B.J. Allen, of Dayton, Ohio, Wilma Lee (Edward) Bartlett of Cahokia, Steven R. (Kathy) Allen of Marissa and Bruce W. (Brenda) Allen of Freeburg; she was blessed with seven grandchildren, Julia Brooks, Danny R. Carter, Jr. both of Dayton, OH, Threasa Graham of Marion, Steven R. Allen II of Red Bud, Jeremiah J. Allen of Godfrey, Brandie J. Brusco of Pocahontas and Brittney J. Allen of Freeburg; 18 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; her fur baby, Sam; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, James Matthew Graham and her siblings, Estelle Hancock, Esther Willcut, William H. "Dago" Smith and Carl L. "Yogi" Smith.

She married Bruno F. Robert in Anna Illinois in 1971. While living in Southern Illinois, Lillie worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Anna.

Funeral services for Lillian Robert will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery near Wolf Lake.  Family and friends may gather from Noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Autism Speaks. Several children in Lillie's family can benefit from these contributions. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
