Lester "Wayne" Hale

Mr. Lester "Wayne" Hale, age 67 of Anna, went home to be with his maker surrounded by his loving family at 10:12 am, Sunday October 6, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Wayne was born on February 17, 1946 in Carbondale, the son of Lester and Lorraine (Webb) Hale. He married Carolyn Jean Parker on August 14, 1964 in Anna. Wayne is survived by his wife Carolyn of Anna; two daughters, Diane (Willy) Clayton and Melissa Moore, both of Anna; four grandchildren whom he adored, Brandi (Brian) Hoehner, Fallon Clayton, Zachary Wayne Moore and Justin Thomas "J.T." Moore; a special great-grandson, Henry Hoehner;One sister, Vera (Carroll) Belcher of Anna; four brothers, Travis (Darlene) Hale of Jacob, IL, Mack (Marilyn) Hale of Anna, Eddie (Jenny) Hale of Sesser and David (Linda) Hale of Anna; his adopted mother, Mae Stout and adopted aunt, Faye Eaves both of Lick Creek; one step-brother, Dennis (Kenna) Howell of Marion; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jeff Hale.Wayne was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna and he was a member of the Local #143 at Champaign, IL. Waynewas an avid softball player and coach and his favorite pastime was watching his grandchildren playing sports.Funeral services for Mr. Lester "Wayne" Hale will be conducted at 10:30 am, Wednesday October 9, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Dee Armes officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rendleman Hileman Funeral Home in Anna on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 5 until 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund or the SIH Foundation-Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral home.
