Lester Dirden

Lester Dirden, age 71 of Jonesboro, died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home. He was born June 23, 1949 in Anna, the son of Jessie and Helen (Harvel) Dirden. He married Christine Hileman on April 20, 1973 in Jonesboro. Lester is survived by his wife, Christine Dirden of Jonesboro; children, Amy Dirden, Brian (Melissa) Dirden, and Leslie Dirden all of Anna; grandchildren, Natosha, Abbi, Hunter, Clayton, Brisan, Paige, Ben, Chase, Dexter, and Tyson; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kingston, and Cameron; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers. Lester attended Bethel Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Labor Local 1330 and the Union County Coon Club. Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020 at St. John's Cemetery with Terry Kern officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Everyone attending is required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. Memorials may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
