Leona G. "Ramona" Wright, age 92 of Anna, died Monday, January 27, 2025. She was born on August 26, 1932, in Alexander County, the daughter of Orvil and Maggie (Smiddy) Brown. She married Melvin Wright on February 18, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1997.
Ramona is survived by her daughters, Terry Luebke and Donna Pope; grandchildren, April Luebke, Paul (Alison) Suits, Jennifer Pope, Timothy Pope, Michelle Wright, Nick Wright, Jamie Wright, Maggie Wright, Tony (Kelly) Bish, Crystal (Shawn) Morris and Tasha (J.R.) Anis; 21 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Brown and Rocky Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; children, Gary Wright and Jerri Pazdzior; grandson, David Pope; two great-grandchildren and six siblings.
Ramona was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jonesboro. She was a God loving Christian woman. No one could say a bad thing about her. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to cook. Over the years, she did many things from factory work to owning a ceramic shop on the Jonesboro square. Her greatest love was her family, especially her great grandchildren that lived close by, Jaden, Reese and Kenna.
Funeral services for Leona G. "Ramona" Wright will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle in Jonesboro with Rev. Geoff Bond and Rev. Bryan Tinnin officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home or Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle. Envelopes will be available at the church and at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
