Mr. Laurence W. "Butch" Bryan, age 67 of Anna, went to be with the Lord at 12:56 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 in the Cobden Rehab and Nursing Center. Laurence was born on March 9, 1947 in Millstadt, the son of Henry Cliffton and Nora Delephine Bryan. He married Susan Capps on December 15, 1984 in Perryville, MO. Laurence is survived by his lovingwife Susan of Anna; six sons, Larry Earl Bryan of Virginia, John Henry Bryan of Morris, Clifton Bryan of Anna, Dallas (Kathy) Law of Cape Girardeau, MO, Darrell (Josie) Law of Villa Ridge and Ronald (Tammy) Law of Grand Tower; two daughters, Mary Law and partner Kim Pind of Reynoldsville and Rebecca Bryan of Anna; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six sisters, Betty (Mel) Mueller of Millstadt, Myrtle (Clyde) Schluter of Anna, Henrietta (Mack) Youngblood of Mattoon, Joyce (Joe) Sullivan of Anna, Sue (Kent) Egner of Anna and Charlotte (Jerry) Toler of Dongola; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Skyler Law. Laurence proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Faith Community Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Bon Reynolds officiating. Interment will be in the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, IL. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by area veterans and the Marine Corps Honor Detail. Friends may call from 5 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Community Church. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
