Larry D. White

Mr. Larry D. White, age 79 of Anna, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his home. He was born September 3, 1936 in Herrin, the son of Tim and Montell Pearson White. Larry is survived by his cousins, Maxine Atkisson, Gary (Mary) Pearson, Jim (Linda) Pearson, Victor Modglin, Carol (Donna) Modglin; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and attended Old St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Early in his career he worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Fingerprint Division; he later attended McKendree College and became an educator. Over the years Larry taught at various high schools, including A-JCHS from 1963 to 1972 as an English teacher. He was the GED instructor for Five-County Regional Adult Education in Cairo for many years. Funeral services for Mr. Larry D. White will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, in Blairsville. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old St. Vincent's Church. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
