Larry J. Walker

Mr. Larry James Walker, age 45 of Cobden, died at 3:25 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at his home in Cobden. He was born June 6, 1969 in Arcadia, California, the son of James Milton and Melba Shadlow Walker. He married Stacey Rogers on April 7, 2006 in Tennessee. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Walker of Cobden; four children, Shanna Walker of California, Bethenie Nork of Cobden, Emalie J. of California, and Madelyn Walker of Cobden; mother, Melba Nork of Cobden; brothers and sisters, Joann, Diane, Jerry, Ronnie, Bob, Heldur Jr., Mary, Dan, and Karen; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, and step-father, Heldur Nork. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Gulf War. Larry attended the United Methodist Church in Anna, he was active in the church; volunteering, and helping others when they needed him. He was kind, and generous, his infectious spirit touched everyone who knew him. Larry was a loving father, husband and son, his family was very important to him, he will be dearly missed. Funeral services for Mr. Larry James Walker will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Brett Yates officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
