Mr. Larry Richard Kimbro, age 61 of Centralia, formerly of Anna, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born May 27, 1950 in Anna, the son of Arvil W. Kimbro and Frances Hill Kimbro Lewis.Larry is survived by his mother, Francis Lewis and step-father Phil Lewis of Centralia; step-mother, Margie Kimbro of Anna; three children, Jennifer Dawn Kimbro of Tulsa, OK, Matthew W. Kimbro and Nathan O. Kimbro both of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren; three sisters, Cherie (Jerry) Mason of Rawlins, WY, Amber (Roger) Kindhart of Timewell, IL, Laurel (Dwight) Rickard of Florence, AL; two step-sisters, Lisa Lewis of Nashville, TN, and Debbie Morrissey of Sarasota, FL; two step-brothers, Freddie Proctor of Anna, and Benie Smith of Cedar Hill, TN; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and four grandparents. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a helicopter crew chief during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 2910 in Centralia. Larry did many types of work, most of which he seemed to enjoy. He loved the outdoors, especially the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois.Larry will be sadly missed by all who knew him.Memorial services for Mr. Larry Richard Kimbro will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Military honors will be conducted at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna by the Military Funeral Honors Team of Marion. Expressions of sympathy may be made at lewis@netwitz.net.
