Lanita Jean Cross

Mrs. Lanita Jean Cross, age 86 of Anna, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her home. She was born on April 25, 1929 in Wolf Lake, IL the daughter of Lloyd Augustus and Opal Thelma (Lewis) Smith. She married Harold Francis Cross on September 3, 1949 in Piggott, AR. Lanita is survived by her husband, Harold Cross of Anna; one son, Dana (Danette) Cross of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Adriel Cross and Elliott Cross; one great grandchild, Owen Cross; one brother, Harold Lewis (Jo) Smith of Springfield, MO. and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Evelyn Cain. Lanita was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro. Lanita worked as a hairdresser for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Lanita Jean Cross will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Rev. Dennis Scoville officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
