Kimberly Dawn Shaffar

Kimberly Dawn Shaffar, age 53 of Anna, died Monday, March 20, 2023 at Union County Hospital. She was born on February 18, 1970 in Waukegan, the daughter of Richard and JoAnn (Albrecht) Shaffar.

She is survived by her daughter, Sophie Shaffar (Joshua); sister, Melissa Shaffar; nieces and nephews, Marc Shaffar (Kevin), Kat Gerharz (Rhea), Zachariah Shaffar (Kiersten) and Faith Gerharz; great nieces and nephews, Myles, Zain, Aria, Oliver, Avery and Jace; uncle, Garon Albrecht (Arlene), cousins, Garon Albrecht, Jr. (Tracey) and Dawn Nierodzik (James); her loving pets, Bella and Penny. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Mark Gray and an uncle, Timothy Albrecht.

Kimberly was an outgoing, loving, free spirit. She was always the life of the party. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Grateful Dead. She had worked as a branch office manager and medical assistant before becoming a stay at home mom.

No services are scheduled at this time. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
