Kent was born in Southern Illinois in Anna, Illinois. He was a 1973 graduate of Anna Jonesboro Community Highschool. He moved to Florida to work on EPCOT, married and moved back home briefly. His only daughter was born, and they moved back to Florida. Kent worked as a carpenter into 2000’s. Kent remarried and is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anne Keller. Kent and Anne started a ranch/farm and have a modest cattle heard in Taveres, Florida.
Kent was happiest when riding on a tractor. The day before his massive stroke, Kent was moving cattle. He passed in Leesburg, Fl.
Along with his wife he is survived by his brother, Mark Keller of Dongola and his three children, niece Shae and Derek, their two children Jaxon and Ryan; nephew Travis and nephew Timothy and Meagan and their two children, Harlyn and Garner; sister, Martha and Chuck Harvel of Tamms; nephews, Scott and Heidi Harvel and Sam and Bethany Harvel and their eight children, Hadassah, Zipporah, Havilah, Naphtali, Berechiah, Zemirah, Jedidah, and Talitha; younger sister, Kelly Miller and her two children, Meagan and Jason also from Anna.
Kent’s daughter, Ashley and her two daughters, Lacey and Colbie; stepdaughter, Sara Robertson Mueller and her husband William and Sarah’s three children Abigail, Ethan and Persephone. Also surviving are cousins, Susan Keller of California and David Schlenker of Illinois.
Kent’s parents came from large families, his mother had five siblings, but his father had fourteen siblings. So, there are a plethora of cousins.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents, Kent E. Keller, Sr. and Shirley Jean (Schlenker) Keller, brother Randal Keller.
A memorial Service for Kent E Keller, Jr. was held at 5:00 p.m. February 21, 2026 at the Fruitland Park Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 502 Urick Street Fruitland Park, Fl. Interment will follow at the American Legion Cemetery in Dongola, Illinois.
