Mr. Kenneth Clinton Treece, age 91 of Anna, died at 4:10 am, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Anna. He was born April 18, 1919 in Anna, the son of Rolla and Edith (Anderson) Treece. He married Birtie Boggus on May 12, 1943 and she preceded him in death in May of 1949. He then married Helen Cates on June 18, 1951 in Jonesboro and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2004. Kenneth is survived by four children, Deloris Pribble of Anna, Ken and wife Michelle Treece of Mansfield, TX, Jack and wife Janet Treece of Sparta, IL, Teresa and husband Jeff Goddard of Cobden; six grandchildren, Shane (Kathy) Spurlock, Chris (Jill) Treece, Lynda Loesing, Jackie Treece, Lucretia Goddard, Lindsey (Miguel) Serrano; eight great-grandchildren, Emily and Mackenzie Spurlock, Noah Treece, Emily and Jack Loesing, Parker and Olivia Haskenhoff and Maddison Serrano; two sisters, Glenda (Bill) Davis of Anna and Virginia Casper of Jackson, MO. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Yvonne Treece; one grandson, Shannon Spurlock; four sisters, Bertha, Eileen, Elizabeth and Robin, and one brother, Jack Treece. Kenneth was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945. He was a past commander and a lifetime member of Townsend F. Dodd American Legion Post in Anna. Kenneth also held memberships in the Operating Engineers Local #318 in Marion and the Jonesboro Odd Fellows Lodge. He was the caretaker and secretary of the Casper Cemetery for many years.Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Treece will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Dale Jones officiating. Friends may call from 5 until 8:00 pm, Friday, November 12 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will be in the Casper Cemetery in Anna with graveside military honors by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post #3455 in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Honor Team in Marion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Casper Cemetery or the Illinois Veteran's Home. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
