Kenneth Rushing

Kenneth Rushing, age 77 of Dongola, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at his home. He was born April 13, 1942 in Marion, KY, the son of Guy and Layla Rushing. He married Shelby Kay Johnson on January 26, 1963. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Shelby Kay Rushing; children, Penny (Randy) Hindman of Anna, Edwin (Cindy) Rushing of Dongola; grandchildren, Remington Hindman, Rebecca (Thomas) Hindman Corbit, Journee Rushing, Austin Rider, James C. Jones; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruby Tucker of Equality, Wayne Rushing of Shawneetown, SanDee (Tom) Brown of Apollo Beach, FL, and Henry (Sara) Rushing of Gladewater, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael V. Rushing; brothers, William "Bill" Rushing and Charles Rushing. Kenneth enjoyed gardening and growing his vegetables, as well as, fishing and hunting. He worked on a dairy farm for many years. He later worked as a plant operator at the quarry for many years. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Randy Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00p.m. at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
