Kenneth Henry Mueller, 97, was called to his eternal home on Dec. 19, 2017. He was born November 11, 1920 in Saint Louis, MO the son of William and Caroline (Reichman) Mueller. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to Joan (Rendleman) Mueller. He leaves behind one daughter Nancy Fleenor of Murfreesboro, TN and one son Ken (Becky) Mueller of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren Matthew Fleenor, Jane (Michael) Driskell, Scott (Allyson) Mueller & Ellen Mueller; great granddaughter Charlotte Driskell other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; 6 siblings; nephews, Jack Mueller and James "Blackie" Mueller. He served his country in WWII as a member of the 418th Bomb Squadron, 100th Bomb Group and became a POW in Germany. He was honored to be recognized by the VFW for his service to his country.Kenneth was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna. He retired after 31 years from Bunny Bread Bakery as a project engineer. He enjoyed fishing, ballroom dancing with Joan, remodeling his old Victorian home, and traveling to be with his family.The family wishes to thank all his friends and staff at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Anna who kindly cared for him. Funeral services for Kenneth H. Mueller will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Tim Weiser officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Funeral Honor Team of Marion. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Anna in lieu of flowers. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
