Kenneth "Kenny" Broadway

Kenny Broadway, age 61 of Anna, died Monday, March 21, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, IN. He was born May 22, 1960 in Union County, the son of Jim and Hilda (Werner) Broadway. He married Barbara Smith on September 5, 1981 in Anna. Kenny is survived by his wife, Barbara Broadway of Anna; brothers, Mike Broadway of Cobden and Gary (Shirley) Broadway of Jonesboro; sisters, Sandy Carpenter of Tilton, Sheila (Steve) Zinn of Dongola, and Linda (Tim) Hanney of Anna; many nieces and nephews, Shawn, Amy, and Janie; many great-nieces and nephews, Aden & Jaycie Hopkins, Nick & Chris James; sisters-in-law, Sharon Broadway, Christine Broadway, Rhonda Broadway, Dorris Downs of Granite City, Ella (Ed) Earnhart of Anna, Phyllis (Junior) DuRall of Anna, Pam Smith and Cathy Smith; brothers-in-law, Danny Smith of Ohio and Steve (Carol) Smith of Indianapolis, IN; mother-in-law, Rosie Smith; several cousins; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill, George, and Chuck Broadway; nephew, David Broadway; and father-in-law, Clarence Smith. Kenneth was a jack of all trades and worked various jobs over the years. He attended Lockard Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed singing along to gospel music. He loved listening to music and dancing, especially with Barbara. He enjoyed fishing anytime he was able to go. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and his dog Chloe. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Jack Richardson officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
