Katherine A. Fox, age 80 of Pomona, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, July 30, 2021. She was born on her family homestead, January 6, 1941, the daughter of Jesse and Rosella (Stearns) Morefield. She married Larry Hardin and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2004. Years later she married Bob Fox, he also preceded her in death. Katherine is survived by her two sons, David Hardin of Alto Pass, Michael (Karen) Hardin of Anna; nine grandchildren, Renne Rose, Jesse Adam, Era Katherine Hardin, Kristina, Sarah, Jake, Joel Hardin, Christopher (Hanna) Greenwood, and Jacy (Daniel) Cohen; three great-grandchildren, Anabelle, Beckham and Aurelia Cohen; siblings, Norma Bodkin of Carbondale, Sandra Turkington of Cape Girardeau, William E. Morefield of Alto Pass, Shirley Dillon Reed of Herrin, Jim Morefield of Florida; other relatives and many friends. Katherine was a devoted Christian and enjoyed attending church and worshiping with her church family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass for many years. For over two decades she worked for the Anna National Bank as a bank teller until her retirement. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Carroll Toler officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro. Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. and until the service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions preferred to the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass. Envelopes are available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
