Katherine Boyd

Katherine Boyd, age 89 of Anna, died Monday, November 12, 2018 in the Integrity Healthcare in Anna. She was born September 3, 1929 in Dawson Springs, KY, the daughter of Wayne and Alice (Crider) Dusch. She married Joe E. Boyd on August 28, 1948 in Piggott, AR. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2018. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Jenifer (Dwayne) Fields of Carterville; daughter in law, Trena Boyd of Auburn, NE, six grandchildren, Julie Fields Stock, Mark (Dani) Fields, Beth Ann Fields, Kimberly Boyd, Sheryl (Tim) Thiele, and Andrew Boyd; five great-grandchildren; sister in law, Emily (Gary) Meyer of Cobden; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe E. Boyd; son, Jeff W. Boyd; brother and sister in law, Wayne (Nancy) Dusch. Katherine was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro for many years. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Katherine enjoyed knitting, reading and going to craft fairs with her daughter. Funeral services for Katherine Boyd will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 on Friday, November 16, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Illinois Veteran's Home in Anna. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
