Karl-Heinz Johann Steffens

Karl Steffens Karl Steffens, age 69 of Tamms, died at 2:00 pm, Friday, December, 14, 2012 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. He was born on July 10, 1943 in Bederkesa, Germany, the son of Johann Klaus Christian and Julianna Marie (Bobe) Steffens. He married Barbara McClain on April 1, 1967 in Park Forest, Illinois. Karl is survived by one daughter, Inge Elena Steffens (Charles Edward) Smith; three grandchildren, Kayla Elena Burton, Archelle Steven Trexler and Sara Louise Dawn Smith; two sisters, Mildred Finne of Bederkesa, Germany and Marianna Segner of New Haven, Connecticut; several nieces and nephews including Lutz Finne of Bederkesa, Germany; a good friend, Geneva Alger of Elco; other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Pastor Kathy Montira officiating.
