Karen F. Smith

Karen F. Smith, age 76 of Jonesboro, died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. She was born December 2, 1944 in Jonesboro, the son of Archie and Pearl (Shepherd) Barker. She married Richard Owen Smith. Karen is survived by her husband, Richard Owen Smith; children, Kimberly (Rich) Evans of Jonesboro, Sandra (Greg) Kohler of Jonesboro, and Richard Dean (Michelle) Smith of Anna; grandchildren, Kasey Clutts, Dustin Miller, Amber Sturgeon, Alyssa Pecord, Jacob Smith, Jude smith, and Joseph Smith; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Dylan Clutts, Elisabeth Miller, and Sutton Sturgeon; siblings, Shelby Brown, Jan Brown, Brenda Durham, Pam Pind, and Sharon Malone; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Shirley Davis, Carol "Sonny" Barker, and Gary Barker. Karen was a member of Lockard Chapel Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed working out and staying active, as well as, planting flowers and plants. She especially loved being home and taking care of her family, who she loved very much. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Mark Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the McGinnis Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
