Judith Marie Dubois

Judith Marie DuBois, age 78 of Cobden, died at 7:17 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her home. She was born in Anna, on May 27, 1938, the daughter of William B. and Mildred (Howenstein) Lamer. She married Lawrence A. "Spike" DuBois on January 25, 1958 in Cobden. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1999. Judith is survived by her two sons, Robert (Cheryl) DuBois of St. Albans, West Virginia; William DuBois (fiance' Jeni Holly) of Louisiana; one daughter, Renee Coleman of Carbondale; three grandchildren, Brandon DuBois, Matthew Coleman and Travis DuBois; two great grandchildren, Brooklyn Keene and Brylee DuBois; one sister, Linda (Gerard) Zschoche of Denver, CO and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence A. DuBois and one grandson, Shane Michael Coleman. Judith was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She served as choir director for many years. She worked as a lab and x-ray technician at Union County Hospital, later she worked under Dr. Whiting as his nurse for over 25 years. Judith was hard working and she loved her family as hard as she worked. Judith will always be remembered for her caring of children and their welfare, and she enjoyed all the years she spent volunteering in the cafeteria at the Cobden school. She loved yard work, cooking for her family & friends & the many hours spent with all her "Club" girls. Funeral mass for Judith Marie DuBois will be at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Cobden on Friday, July 22, 2016, with Father Uriel Salamanca officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
