Juanita Gaddis

Mrs. Juanita Gaddis, age 95 of Dongola, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born July 5, 1917 in Alto Pass, the daughter, George and Meda McKinney Hickam. She married Edgar "Dick" Gaddis on July 1, 1939 in Anna. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1996. Juanita is survived by one son, Charles (Jan) Gaddis of Dongola; one daughter, Lois Ann Treece of Dupo; one daughter in law, Cheryl Gaddis of Dongola; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Norman Hickam of Jonesboro, Jesse (Carolyn) Hickam of Anna, Glenn (Maxine) Hickam of Murphysboro; one sister, Gladys Smithey of Anna; nieces and nephews; other relatives and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar "Dick" Gaddis; one son, Donald Gaddis; three brothers and one sister. Juanita was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dongola, she attended Sunday school classes at the Anna Vista. Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Gaddis will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Big Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
