Joshua Mcfadden

Joshua McFadden, age 42 of Jonesboro, died Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. He was born August 12, 1978 in Champaign, the son of Russell Lynn and Laura (Easter) McFadden. He married Lane Gaffney on June 24, 2006 in Leroy. He is survived by his wife, Lane McFadden of Jonesboro; his sons, Aidan Ryan McFadden and Gavin Allen McFadden both of Jonesboro; his parents, Russell and Laura McFadden; his mother and father in law, Gary and Sharon Gaffney; brother, Christopher McFadden of Bloomington; sister-in-law, Anna (Aaron) Anderson of Carterville; nieces and nephews, Alex McFadden, Sam and Alana Rausenberger and Averi Anderson; Lane's grandmothers, Leota Gaffney and Gail Wohlwend; numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Evelyn Easter and his paternal grandparents, Virgil and Naomi McFadden. Josh proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He greatly enjoyed his time with the Marines. He worked for 14 years at Anna State Bank before becoming a guard with the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was a jokester and loved making people smile. He loved spending time with his family and everyone that knew Josh understood his greatest joy in life was his boys. Whether it was on the golf course with them or at the ball fields watching or coaching their games, Josh loved every moment spent with them. His loving and generous nature will never be forgotten. Funeral services for Joshua McFadden will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July, 23, 2021 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment with military honors will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the funeral home.
