    Joseph H. Walker, age 91 of Marion, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at his home. He was born in Reynoldsville on August 5, 1934, the son of Henry “Bill” and Elnora “Sis” (Reynolds) Walker. He married Janet L. Choate on June 3, 1967. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2014.

    Joe served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Amax Coal Company, Delta Mine, on July 1, 1993. Prior to that, he was employed by Bunny Bread as terminal manager in Harrisburg. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Joe and Janet enjoyed collecting and showing classic cars, Studebakers and Mustangs. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

    Joe is survived by a brother, John Walker of Pawnee; special nieces, Jennifer Locke and Julie Moore; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; parents; brothers, Richard and Merle Walker; an infant sister and a nephew, Bill Walker.

    Joe will be buried beside Janet at the Anna Cemetery. No formal services will be held. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
