Johnnie L Pleasant

Johnnie L. Pleasant, age 85 of Jonesboro, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 in the Union County Hospital. He was born in Campbell, MO on December 20, 1930, the son of Owen Mac and Allie Opal (Runnels) Pleasant. Johnnie is survived by his loving wife, Stella Pleasant of Jonesboro; daughter, Connie Salazar of Jonesboro, son, Daniel (Cindy) Turner of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine Bowlings of Oceanside, CA, and Sharon (Chuck) Williams of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Marty Pleasant. Johnnie served his country in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean conflict. Johnnie was a commercial truck driver for many years before his retirement. A memorial service for Johnnie L. Pleasant will be held at a later date.
